The mythological tales of gods and goddesses of the sky, moon, sun, and stars blended with factual historical information are printed on beautiful, colorful, and detailed illustrations. The folklores are represented across various cultures and ethnic backgrounds, which gives a good representation of how mythological concepts are not exactly universal, and should leave the reader with a broadened mind. This book is great for those young readers who are imaginative and find thrills within stories of ancient heroes. The foiled texture throughout the book relate to the twinkle of the stars, the gleaming moon, and bursting sun, which is very entrancing to the viewer. ( )

Every look at a clear night sky and make up stories to go along with the stars? Did you know that ancient gods are up there? Long ago, the people of the Earth worshiped the sun, moon, and stars as if they were living creatures. This book holds some of the stories and gives a brief back ground of the people who created them.

This book is a bit lengthy to keep the average childs attention, but for the child who's interested in looking at the pictures, this book is full of beautiful illustrations. ( )
