This book, which was published in 1999, would be a great addition to a science fiction collection. It would fit nicely with Unwind by Shusterman, and The Adoration of Jenna Fox, and the one whose title I've forgotten where the brother finds out he's a clone of his older brother, who turns out to be a murderer and then he wonders if he'll have the same tendencies. In Cloning Miranda, the main character starts to have blurred vision, and a doctor's examination reveals that she has tumours growing in a few places in her body. Her parents reassure her that she WILL be fine, even though she researches the disease and finds out that it is incurable. By mistake, Miranda discovers a girl named Ten, living in the hospital where she's been taken to have her liver transplant. Ten is Miranda's double; identical in every physical way, although younger. Miranda puts it all together and then decides that she can not possibly agree to allowing them to kill number Ten. I think a reluctant reader, interested in cloning would really like this book. There's a sequel as well. ( ) keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
