The book tells the story of Mary Stuart, of whom I thought to know a lot. But it turned out that I hardly knew anything. The book covers the first years when Mary Stuart lives as a prisoner in the hosehold of George Talbot and Bess of Hardwick. Each chapter is told by the point of view of one of the main characters. The book is very interesting, well written and as I suppose quite as it could really have been. I must admit that I found it a little bit boring sometimes, the end is clear and it doesn´t happen a lot. But from a historical and psychological point of view it is a great book and will for sure not be the last one of Philippa Gregory that I am reading. ( )

The book is very interesting, well written and as I suppose quite as it could really have been. I must admit that I found it a little bit boring sometimes, the end is clear and it doesn´t happen a lot.
But from a historical and psychological point of view it is a great book and will for sure not be the last one of Philippa Gregory that I am reading. (
