Great story that makes up book 3 of the Tide Lords. I definitely did not see the end coming and can't wait to start book 4 so it is all explained. Love the characters and the plots. Well done, Jennifer Fallon! ( )

I felt I made one giant circle with this book in the series. Pretty much, things eek'ed forward just a bit in the greater picture, but not much else happened. There was a lot of saving of the mortals by immortals, Cayal still trying to die, more pieces of the puzzle put together. But there was no real solution found. It all just left you hanging at the end.

I'm just feeling a little put out that the whole ending was basically similar to the ending of the second book, just different circumstances. Though I have to admit, I had guessed the cliffhanger as soon as Prisoner 282 was found. Not too many surprises, but kept me wanting more at the end. To be realistic, I'm hooked on the series and wish the fourth book was ready to go. Will be hard to get back into the series if I have to wait two years for the next installment. ( )

The Tide is turning and the Tide Lords’ powers are returning with it. More and more pieces are coming together, slowly picking up the pace as questions get answered, relationships are revealed, and players are given new roles.
The the two kingdoms, Glaeba and Caelum, are rapidly heading towards war because of the petty squabbles between the Immortals, Jaxyn, Tryan, Diala, and Elyssa.. Their bickering has been going on for thousands of years – and they sound just like kids at kindergarten. Just how old are these Immortals again?
Several Immortals that normally try and avoid each other are brought together in the icy realm of Jelidia in Lukys' latest "game" to find whether an immortal Tide Lord can be killed. Branded and sold into slavery in Senestra, Arkady has suddenly become the obsession of many... both mortal and Immortal. She holds out little hope of being rescued and turns to her new owner for help - but learning the truth about him may cost them their lives. Tiji, the chameleon spy, has now discovered others of her kind. Jaxyn's plans hit a snag when he realises the one man who can challenge him for the Glaeban throne, Stellan Desean, has sought asylum in neighbouring Caelum. Strangely enough, the Empress of the Five Realms, and the Tide Lords, Tryan and Elyssa, seem to be on Stellan's side. Warlock, the Scard Crasii, is reluctantly spying on the Immortals in Caelum for the Cabal – all the time worried about his partner and her new puppies. Then there's Declan Hawkes, struggling to come to terms with his shocking transformation into one of those he has worked against his entire life. In confusion, Declan abandons the Cabal, and flees Glaeba in search of some trace of Arkady.
There is a lot happening in this book, but not so much that you get lost. Unlike some other authors, Fallon makes it easy to keep up with who's who, who's where, and what's happening. Another bonus with Fallon's Tide Lord series is that book 3 leaves you knowing there's at least one more book coming. ( )
