The Busy Body Book is a book to teach children about the body. It has different illustrations. Some illustrations were cartoonish and some were realistic images. This book teaches about the many things the body can do. A twist on this book is you can use it to teach about teamwork because it tells you how all the muscles and stuff works together. The book is targeted to help encourage children to move and be active. ( )

This book is centered around how to have and maintain a healthy lifestyle through nutrition and exercise, but is also examines all the major bodily systems and their parts. This would be a great book for teaching health, but it also has many good examples of text features that are found in informational texts. ( )

Summary:This book talks about how all the different body parts work together to keep you on the go. It also talks about how children who have bad eating habits and bad exercise habits end up having overweight problems.

Personal Reaction:
I liked this book because it tells kids about the long term affects they could deal with if they choose not to exercise and eat fruits and vegetables. If I used this in an early childhood setting I would probably read it during a week we were learning about body parts.

Classroom Extension: One classroom extension I would use for this book would be to get the class up and do some stretches. Another fun extension I would do would have the kids write down short exercise ideas they would have and you could create a weekly calendar with one ten minute exercise on it the kids could do when they were getting tired half way through the day. The book is filled with very colorful pictures and will keep the children's attention during story time. The book explains to the children how important it is to keep your body healthy and active. The book shows pictures of important body parts and how each part works. This book is great for younger children learning about fitness and their bodies
