EducatingParents.org rating: Approved This book describes how every link in a food chain is important because each living thing depends on others for survival. This book demonstrates very simple texts with beautifully illustrated pictures. I would use this book to teach about food chains and how they are dependent on one another. This would also be interesting to use to teach a sense of how everything in the world is dependent on something in order for survival. I enjoyed this book for two reasons. First, the illustration provided a visual image of what animal eats what to emphasize the importance of the food chain. For example, a big shark was depicted eating a smaller shark. Through this, the reader can make sense of how different animals survive in their habitats. The language was very clear and concise as it explain each level of the food chain, what kinds of foods are under each category and why. For the child reader it was short and sweet without use of complicated words or too in depth. The reader can take away one of the many introductions to biology and the importance of the food chain and process of how foods are produced. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
