Ich habe das Buch tatsächlich in 24 Stunden gelesen. Es war leicht und flüssig geschrieben. Die Sprache ist einfühlsam, ruhig und sehr fesselnd. Depremierend fand ich das Buch an keiner Stelle, es sei denn daß man die Geschichte der Pest insgesamt natürlich deprmierend finden kann.
Es wird die Geschichte eines ganzen Dorfes geschildert, auch wenn natürlich Anna die Hauptperson ist. Anna kommt als Erste mit der Pest in Berührung, erkennt sie aber noch nicht. Auch ist sie eine der Ersten die große Verluste durch die Pest erleidet, ohne selber zu erkranken. Sie wächst mit der Zeit über sich hinaus und ist vielen Menschen eine große Hilfe. Es gibt einige Textstellen, die jede Mutter absolut nachempfinden kann.

Alles in allem, hat mir das Buch sehr gut gefallen und ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Der Schluß war mir zwar ein wenig weit hergeholt, aber der hatte mir der eigentlichen Geschicht des Pestdorfes auch nichts mehr zu tun und es waren auch nur die letzten 20 Seiten. ( )
