This is a great early chapter book that is silly and fun but also speaks to using your own individual strengths. I would definitely have this on my shelf and could see some little goof balls loving it.

This short chapter book is another from the fly guy series. In this book fly guy and Buzz play football. The game is almost over, and their team is losing, so they do their secret play and win. I think this book is good for primary school kids, to introduce chapter books. I think the sports aspect will also be drawing to some children. It also teaches problem solving, in the way that they find a way to win the game.

A fun little trifle of a book, Fly Guy is too small to join the team but gets put in and helps win with a clever and gross 'secret' move. Clearly, Rudy has more plot and character development in it, but your average K-2 students are going to enjoy Tedd Arnold's 'Hooray For Fly Guy' quite a bit more than that.
I recommend for big people reading to children, reluctant readers in Kindergarten through early 2nd grade, and those who like sports, humor, heroic behavior, and gross stuff like boogers. ( )

A great early chapter book that tells a cheeky and humorous story of Fly Guy as he becomes a football jock. I would use this book for new early readers (1-2nd) or struggling older students (3rd-4th) to build confidence in reading capabilities and be a transition into the world of chapter books.

This book would be good for lower intermediate. This book was about Fly guy and his chance to play football. One of the players got hurt which allowed Fly Guy his chance to play in a game and make the winning play. This would be good for a young reader who loves sports. ( )
