Independent Reading Level: Grades K-2 This book by Crosby Bonsall is an "I can read book". Very simple, but has a great story line for a reader. The plot is about two siblings, the older one have to play with her little sibling for the day. She becomes frustrated because the little one does not understand the object of hide and seek. To get the children to interact with the story, you can have them draw how they play with their brothers and sisters or if they do not have one, they can imagine what they would do. Two sisters are outside playing in the leaves and the older sister wants to play hide and seek so she trys to explain to her little sister how to play but she didn't seem to understand. So the older sister tried a couple more to explain to her how to play the game, but it still didn't get through to her. This story made me laugh because it reminds me of me and my little sister. When we were little, I would always want to play a game with her and sometimes she would want to play other times she didn't know how and didn't want to learn. One idea I thought of to interact students with this book is having each student who has sibllings, draw pictures of how they play with their siblings. For those that don't have a sibling, I would have them pretend they did and they could do whatever they want with their imaginary sibling. Zeige 4 von 4 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
