Superb. Easy to read, and he lays out the gospel so well by looking at and analyzing Jesus' parable of the prodigal son. I recommend this to everyone old enough to grasp concepts like justification and sanctification. ( )

這應該是Tim Keller最有名的一本書，藉著解釋新約浪子回頭的比喻，精簡也精確的講解了福音的內容。小兒子和大兒子是兩種「浪子」，在小兒子身上的著墨相對較少，大兒子的部分很費心思去闡釋，很精彩。最後兩章講基督徒如何藉由深刻理解福音內涵而避免回頭又走大兒子的路，以及理解福音內涵之後必然會在行為上表現出來的實踐，我覺得講得很清楚也很有激勵的效果。這本書很薄，每章的字也不多，很好讀，內容又好，我覺得滿適合幫助初信者明白核心真理。 ( )

One of those books that really helps define your life. Keller does a great job of helping us understand how spiritual dysfunction arises out of our ethos for life and how Christ, via true Christianity, solves it. In a latent fashion, I likely understood this already, but he says it so much better and brings a passage to bare that gives us confidence we are on the right track. ( )

Prodigal God is an extended sermon on Luke 15. Insightful. Beautiful. Compelling. When I want to hear thoughtful retelling of the gospel I look to Keller. ( )

Extremely good explanation of the parable of 'The Lost Brother', giving cultural background and clear illustrations. 'Prodigal' doesn't mean what most people think, this is highlighted at the start. ( )
