Surreal, almost ridiculous at times but never less than fun, this tale of an accidental murderer is thrilling and had be laughing out loud. There are no heroes in this book. Just one poor unfortunately fool who has the misfortune of having horrendous things happen to him. The problem is he doesn't do the right thing when they happen and only makes life harder for himself. Barney Thomson is not a nice person, but he is not a evil person either. Things just happen around him. And that's what makes this book different and equally enjoyable.
