Even though many people dislike bugs this book makes bugs more likable. The book puts the bugs in different activities and settings that are more comparable to humans. Some of the bugs are doing funny things while others are doing everyday activites. Some bugs are cutting through boxes making noises which I thought was really cool. Throughout the whole book bugs are doing things just like humans so it gives you a different perspective on them. Instead of feeling like they are gross you feel like they are family members, friends, or yourself engaging in activities you do from day to day. ( ) This is possibly one of my favorite books on bugs. Whether you abhor them or appreciate them, you will find this book to be a treasure. The illustrator does a fantastic job in incorporating texture, color, a means of interaction by way on pop ups, and use of perspective. After reading this book, bugs will not appear as frightening as one assume them to be. Bugs come in variety of shapes, colors, and behavior. This book does a great job in presenting that fact.
