Tales of a knitting circle of women who learn about life as they knit. Follow-up to Friday Night Knitting Club.

It has been 5 years since the end of the 1st book. I kept thinking the book should have been set closer to the time of the 1st book. Everyone is still too caught up with Georgia's death. After 5 years they should have moved on with their lives. They should have either drifted apart or formed more of a group that wasn't just based on Georgia.

It is the Friday Night Knitting Club, but they only hold 2 meetings and they don't knit at them. There is no impression given they are meeting off the page.

Hard to feel sorry for Lucy. Being a single mother is harder than expected. Well that was her choice. She deliberately set out to get pregnant with out ever telling the man.

James is a snob, no daughter of his will be a baker or nanny!

Dakota is being pushed into business by her father and to run her mother's shop by the club. No one bothers to ask her what she wants. Unfortunately the narrator gives her a whiny child's voice.

K.C. starts smoking and her story line is just her trying to quit.

The very put together Anita suddenly can't make decisions about her wedding.

I did laugh when Darwin wonder when her mother got so smart once her mother came to help take care of the babies.

The narrator gave Rose, who was from Italy (the book talks about how she was from Italy and loved to cook Italian food) an Irish accent. It was like the narrator wanted to show her Irish accent. ( )

Utterly adorable chic flick/lit.
There is so much I could relate to this in this story -- the death of their mother; the fighting against everyone just assuming that you're going follow in your mom's footsteps, because why wouldn't you? The growing into yourself once you accept that this part of you that always was is no longer and you CAN move on and continue to live and grow.

Great little story and novel!
I loved it.

It was after hours at Walker and Daughter: Knitters, and Dakota stood in the center of the Manhattan yarn shop and wrestled with the cellophane tape. She had spent more than twenty minutes trying to surround a canvas Peg Perego double stroller in shimmery yellow wrapping paper, the cardboard roll repeatedly flopping out of the paper onto the floor of the shop and the seeming miles of gift wrap crinkling and tearing with each move.
