Bugs! Bugs! Bugs! by Jennifer Dussling is a DK Reader for children who are beginning to read on their own. It is an informational transition book that explains various insects and their characteristics. My favorite part of this book is the real-life pictures of insects because they allow readers to view these bugs up close. This would be a great text to teach children about text features and how to read informational texts. I think this is a good nonfiction beginner book for students. ( )
