The building of the team and the rest of their adventures seem incidental (nothing negative on Night Crawler, but even his story seemed very focused on Meggan). With all of the interpersonal drama this almost felt more soap opera then super hero genre at times. The art style of the book speaks to the time period when it was drawn.
