In my opinion, this book could be improved. One thing that I didn't like about this book was all of the text on each page. The photographs on the pages were very useful and provided great visual aides to the readers, but with all of the words on each page, it was distracting and overwhelming to me as a reader. By being distracted as a reader I feel that it is more difficult to understand the central message of the book, which is to inform readers about the Amazon Rain Forest and what it is like to live there. For example, one page talks about Yanomami Land. The page has two different colored sections with text, one about the land, and one about the land being in danger. I feel that by having two different colored sections about the same topic makes it more difficult for a reader to focus on and comprehend what the text is trying to tell them. One thing that I did like about this book, however; is that it provides comprehension questions at the end of the book. I feel that providing comprehension questions relating to the book, the author helps the reader revisit and go over what they have just learned so that they do not forget the information or so that they can re-read information that they may have missed.
