I'd never heard of this series by Stine, and it turns out to be pretty fun, especially with the illustrations by Trip Park.
Nine year-old Bernie Bridges is a little sociopath in the making. He lives at the Rotten School, a boarding academy, where he manipulates other kids into bringing him breakfast in bed, competing for prizes he takes, and lying to teachers for him. When one one of the kids shows up with a five hundred dollar watch that plays movies and makes popcorn, Bernie contrives a way to get the watch for himself by suggesting a pie eating contest. Which leads to blueberry barf. ( )

This is the first book of my Rotten School Flashbacks, and my first flashback book I have read! This is a wonderful short story book, that I would recommend to anyone that wants to go back in time and experience new stories or short stories that you want to really read! This book was slow at first but I caught back on when the real plot of the story started. This book is about a blueberry pie eating contest that Bernie B. came up as one of his schemes during his time at Rotten School. I cannot wait to read more of the Rotten School Flashbacks as they bring back the memories! ( )

this book was writen by r.l. stine. this book starts out with the main charater Bernie B. getting ready for school. this story takes place at a(n) boarding school called Rotten School. You can call Bernie the smartest one out of his freinds maby the school. he has talked the headmaster into giving bounus points on test for putting your name at the top of the papper. he talked the gym teacher into thinking that wedgeing is a sport. he talked the headmyster into making a gameboy a reqiered school resorces. Berine is all about making money. he always comes up with these ideas to make money like selling tickets to second grades to see mars. in this book their is one of three thangs he is trying to acmplish. one is to sell t-shirts made from rope. the second one is to get a golden watch wit 42 funcition from the rich kid Sherman. the final goal he has is to take dance lessons with the hottest most popular girl in school april may june.
