"It Made Sense at the Time" is a good, if brief (88 pages) book of Ursula Vernon's sketches with commentary from the artist. There are a number of finished b&w pieces among the sketches, but it's Vernon's commentary that probably adds the most to the talented, scribbly art. The commentary can give some level insight into the process and ideas or a hint of what exactly was going on with the frequently rather odd sketches. There's a short interview that starts the book as well. ( )

Probably the closest most people will ever come to having Ursula Vernon--creator of the webcomic Digger, and soon-to-be-released Nurk--sitting in their living room. The book begins with a short interview with her, and then she comments on a whole collection of sketches that someone has chosen from her digital sketch book. Fans of her blog will love this book.
