He had a loose tooth, but it was taking so long to come out. Then Norman had an idea. Why couldn't he fool the tooth fairy? Feeling left out because all of his friends have lost a tooth and been visited by the Tooth Fairy, Norman decides to fake it, putting a sliver of soap in some paper towel underneath his pillow, in the hopes that he will receive a nighttime visit. He gets more than he bargained for however, when a Tooth Monster visits him instead, and he vows not to play such a trick again. Fortunately for him, his loose tooth falls out the next day, and he gets his wish after all... A fun little story from author Carol Carrick is paired with colorful, amusing illustrations from artist Lisa McCue in Norman Fools the Tooth Fairy. Of the sixteen books I have read thus far from Carrick, this is one of the few not to be illustrated by her husband, Donald Carrick. On the whole, although I do prefer the Carrick and Carrick coproductions, from an aesthetic perspective, I did like the illustrations here. I also appreciated the inclusion of a detailed tooth-brushing chart at the rear, although I suspect that my younger self would have just breezed past that page. Recommended to picture-book readers looking for stories about the Tooth Fairy and/or addressing dental hygiene. Zeige 3 von 3 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
