I used to read these magazines all the time in elementary school. When asked to read something in our school library I was always drawn to these. The photos and artwork would memorize me and all the facts would blow my mind. I cannot wait to build my collection of these for my classroom.

The book was a great one, mainly I you want to know about elephants. Though there was a lot of facts in there I already knew. I didn't care about that because there was so many unknown facts to my knowledge. Like the fact that there was more than 500 different species. They all went extinct though. Thanks to the meteorite, now we only have the two species most known.
These are called African and Asian elephants, where if you read the book, you know how to tell them apart. This book showed some pretty weird looking species though. You might be able to think of the Wooly Mammoth and the great Mastodon. But did you know that the first elephant was only two feet tall. It states that in the book. So I think that overall this book was great!

In this book you learn how to sperate African elephants from Asain elphants. You can tell apart African elepants from Asain elphants by looking at their ears. African elephants have ears that are shaped like the continent Africa. This book talks about how there are many types of elephants but they all originated from one, the Moeritherium lyonsi. The world record of the largest weighing elephant is 24,000 pounds! This book also talks about the traditions elpehants are used to and the uses of their tusks and trunks. Little kids all over the world write stories and draw pictures of elepants. It is stated that elephants are voted the most liked and adored animal of people all over the world.

I really enjoyed this magazine because I have been learning about elephants in my Creative Thinking class. I picked up this magazine in hope of learning more information and I learned quite a lot! It's a great magazine for kids to learn about elephants. This magazine gave me visuals of different things. It was really facinating to find out that elephants had "fingers" at the end of there trunks, and leran how big they can grow. I give my biggest compliment to this author because he knew how to word things perfectly so everyone would understand.

Elephants are the largest of all land animals, and their sheer size is enough to make them one of the most popular of zoo animals. There are two basic kinds of elephants --African elephants and Asiatic (or Indian) elephants.
