Fourth in the "darkly rich"(TwoLips Reviews) Vampire Queen series. Escaping the depraved servitude of a vampire master she killed, Jessica has found her way, with three nomadic guides, to the sun-baked desolation of the Sahara-only to slowly perish. Then she hears the tale of Farida, an enigmatic beauty lost as well to the Sahara three centuries ago, whose ancient desire for the legendary vampire Lord Mason is stirring the same desires in Jessica. But the more Jessica's fatal curiosity reveals of Farida, the closer she gets to Lord Mason's irresistible and forbidden secret. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

I do have a different idea of how I would have liked it to end, and it being a two arc duet instead of a single book wrapped up at the end.
If you haven't read the book yet, then disregard the following and don't read it because it spoils the ending and I write what I would have liked to have seen instead.
The ending where Jessica takes the serum and retains her 3-mark status, and everyone gets their HEA was a bit too easy for me. I would have loved to have seen her take the serum for reasons that are easy to overcome, but still take the serum and then the book ends. The next book would have her going about her life but "missing something" and having Mason trying to stay away from her, but failing. The book would be the story of him courting her and trying to get her to be his servant. I don't exactly know, but there is more there than just a simple HEA that could have been told
This is an important Vampire Queen book that shouldn't be overlooked and skipped. Great series all around! ( )
