Have you ever wanted to reach inside the book's pages and just shake some sense into a character!! That is what I wanted to do to Selena in this story; just TRUST Brice ALREADY and TELL HIM everything!!! Selena is a nurse down in Argentina. Things go wrong and she calls for her friend Brice (a CHAIM agent) to come down and help her. He takes her out of the country and back to his home in Atlanta to protect her from the danger she has found herself in. Selena is not a "happy camper" and is not helping Brice much when it comes to finding out who is behind the threats to her life. Selena has to trust Brice, in more ways than one! Great story, as was the first two books in this series. Book 3 in the Secret Agent series was Brice Whelan's story. We were introduced to him in book 2. After Brice rescues Selena Carter her father (also a CHAIM member) hires him to protect her from those who attacked her clinic Dia Belo. He takes her to his mansion where he knows the security will be tight. Selena and Brice have always had a deep attraction to one another and she knows she can trust him but she's afraid to tell him what she's thinking because if she's right it could ruin a long-time friendship and also a good man's reputation. Brice knows Selena is hiding something. Is is to protect someone or is she involved with drug cartel? Book 3 was not as action packed as the previous two books in the series. None of the characters from the previous two books had active roles which was a little disappointing but all in all is was a good read. Would love to see the series continue with the incorporation of previous characters. Book 1 is Secret Agent Minister, Book 2 is Heart of the Night both excellent books! Get in, save the girl and get back out. That was CHAIM agent Brice Whelan's mission. But saving missionary/nurse Selena Carter might be more difficult than expected. Selena's run-in with a drug cartel put the people in her care in danger. Yet the danger doesn't end when Brice brings her home. The counterfeit drugs have entered Georgia, and this time Selena isn't about to run away. Brice's mission hasn't changed; he still needs to keep her safe. And that means staying by her side--whether she wants him there or not. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

First she calls him because she wants his help. He comes, and she's upset with him because he's trying to get her to leave Argentina (where she's been the nurse at a clinic). Then, she deliberately keeps information from him--several times! She won't listen to him on ways to keep herself safe and keeps pushing the limits and doing things he tells her not to do. I pretty much hated her actions from the first time I learned she wasn't telling Brice.
I don't know what the rules are on reporting unsafe medications or suspicions of drug trafficking. I can somewhat understand not wanting to accuse someone and have them go through the process of having to prove that they didn't if they are innocent--but if someone was trying to take my life, all bets are out the window. I'm telling what I suspect so that the people trying to keep me alive have the information they need to do so. ( )
