Jade and Rich Chance are back at school, but looking after themselves at home, whilst their father is away on yet another mission.
Their evening peace and quiet is shattered when they hear gunfire close by, followed by the arrival of an old colleague of their father. He seems to be in trouble, so the twins of course, decide to help him and jump right into a new
adventure.
As they are chased through the night and into the next day, things are not what they at first seemed. Rich manages to get to safety, but Jade is taken hostage and kept in a Middle Eastern country, to persuade Chance to find and hand over something that he had buried years before.
Being left for dead in the desert, camel spiders, ancient artifacts and the potential of a nuclear bomb, are used to change the political landscape of one Middle Eastern Kingdom.
Can our heroes save the day? There is political wheeling and dealing, plot twists, red herrings and plenty of action.
It is a good story for lower to middle secondary students.
