This book is about Lilly and her teacher who is getting married to the school nurse. It was always Lilly's dream to be a flower girl in a wedding so this was the perfect opportunity for her to make her dream come true. Along the way to the aisle, Lilly learned that her teacher's niece was going to be the flower girl instead of her. After being upset for a while, Lilly decided to put her own selfish ambition aside and help the little girl be the best flower girl ever.

I love this story because it represents growing up and realizing that someone else's important event isn't all about you.

This book is about Lily who wants to be a flower girl for Mr.Slinger. She believes that she already has become the flower girl so she imagines what shes going to look like and do in the wedding. But Mr.Slinger has chosen his niece as the flower girl and not Lily so she is very disappointed. Because of this he gives her the roll of flower girl assistant and makes her beyond happy again. This is a cute book because he shows the importance of children not getting their way but that does not mean they are not valued. ( )
