Mary can't play outside because of her illness. her toymaker father, makes toys that resemble the kids playing outside. This book is about a girl who cannot go play with the other kids and so her father makes her dolls like her friends. When she can go out to play she forgets the dolls. Years later she finds the dolls in her dads old shop and gives them to her friends and she makes a doll that looks like her dad for her daughter. This was also a spooky story that brings chills up your spine. ( )
