I liked this book because of the art. The pictures were familiar because I have seen the movie. I feel that the reader will find it familiar if they have seen the movie. The other reason I liked the art was because the cool color pallet allows it to have a magical feeling. I also liked the plot because people, just like Cinderella, get bullied. "I will never go to the ball", which allows the reader to empathize. I also like the plot because it has been told so many different ways because it is a traditional literature story. The main message of the story is that you never know what will happen in your life you need to just believe. ( )

In this Disney version, this Cinderella story is based on the very popular movie. The illustrations are lovely and familiar, as they are from the movie. Cinderella’s familiar evil stepsisters and stepmother are present, as well as her fairy godmother and forest friends. Cinderella meets her prince at the ball and they live happily ever after.

Well, this is exactly the story as shown on the movie, down to the songs that the birds sing. I guess if what you are looking for is the exactly same story (that is what my daughter was looking for) then this completely fits the bill for you. ( )
