For what it is - very steamy erotica - this book is stellar. Sybil, an apprentice witch whose coven won't let her do magic, unwittingly becomes a host for demonic magic. She's rescued by Kenric, a sexy werewolf, who takes her back with him to the Shadow Guardians - a vampire, werewolf, demon, dragon and fae - who guard the five gateways to the world. In order to control the magic and save the world, Sybil must earn the mark of Inanna, the sex goddess, by sharing herself with all five Shadow Guardians. Meaning, lots of explicit sex. Supernatural sex. Group sex. The plot seems rather inconsequential in a book like this, but it was still there. And Teglia's writing is fresh - Sybil feels like a real person, and the men (in particular Kenric and Kadar, the dragon) are distinct from each other. Definitely a book I enjoyed reading with my husband. ;-) ( )

I was mentally exhausted while reading this book. There is a story in this book but the story is wrapped around Sybil having sex, lots and lots of sex with 5 beasts, I mean men over 5 days. Did I mention she has lots and lots of sex? After reading Animal Attraction by Teglia, I am starting to see a pattern here. Sex, lots of it, with lots of men over a very short period of time. Hmmmm... doesn't sound bad to me. ( )
