Make susre when your loved ones pass you keep track of the changes in the grave. The plot twisted and turned and kept me guessing, but there were some inconsistencies that pulled me out of the story. For example, in one scene, the heroine was going through storage containers. She finished a barrel of baby clothes and was working on a barrel of books. Someone entered the room, and she put down the baby sleeper she was holding. I had to go back and re-read to confirm that she was supposed to be working with books. A small detail, but distracting, especially when there were several throughout the book. Readers who like to read complex plots about sick, vicious villains will find this book fascinating.
