If you know the Look and Find series, then you already know what to expect: A book of hidden pictures, using bright and colorful illustrations, familiar characters, and a side bar with a picture of the hidden object, the object's name, and a small paragraph that links a kind of narrative to each book. This board book uses the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse television show to provide the characters and the narrative, and the story is rather ridiculous, but the hunting for pictures is fun. This is in the easier category of the look and find series, and is a good introduction to teaching kids how to search and analyze at a very simple level. My girls like these books a lot, and though I consider them more game than book, they are a good game to play. I buy my girls plenty of books that I consider quality children's literature, so if they want other books that are more about familiar characters than great writing, they deserve to have that choice, too. Clearly, this book falls into the latter category, but at least it does have some educational value, as well. ( )
