A Zoo For Mister Muster is a picture book that shows the value of fiendship. Mister Muster visits the park zoo everyday and the animals all look forward to him coming. When the weather is bad the animals are sad that he can not come to see them so the animals work out a plan of stealing the zoo keepers keys and escape. They all go to Mister Musters apartment until the police and zoo keeper find them because of a phone call from a neighbor. The animals do not want to return to the zoo until the zoo keeper says he will make Mister Muster an assistant and he can be there all the time. The story shows the love of the animals toward Mister Muster, and his love for them.

I enjoyed this story because I remember it being on my grandmothers bookshelf and reading it as a child. I think that the book shows that we all should love animals to have animals love us in return. The book has wonderful pictures, though an old book that make it look like a fun story even if you are not reading it.

This book would probably be used in a K-3 classroom if you wanted to show some sort of connection of the importance of loving animals. You could use it to help children to have a guide to write a story of what their animals mean to them. I think it is also a great way to incorporate friendship and love with the students in a classroom.
