I never got the love for dinosaurs. Yet this book made me like them. The child who I showed this book to did not know how to read but was able to tell a story based on the pictures. The author also has a added feature called "Extra Things" in which you can take words from each letter from the alphabet ex: A and try to find all the things that are featured in the A ex: apples. This is a great book for preschoolers to make connections with capital and lowercase letters. The letter are bolded to match capital and lowercase letters. Some of the phonemic awareness pictures are confusing for learning beginning sounds. There are many r controled words, and long vowels. The end of the book has a sort of I Spy that will keep kids interested to find pictures on a letter page.
