I've been on SparkPeople.com for ages, so the book wasn't anything mind-blowing or life-changing for me. There are many practical tips in this book, and it is written in a very straightforward, cheerful manner. I liked it, but I think the (free) website is more valuable. ( )

Part story of the founding of Sparkpeople.com, part biography of founder Chris Downie, and part motivational self-help health book, I was interested and engaged in all the parts of the book *except* the traditionally "motivational" testimonials from Sparkpeople users. I think that's more because of my own special brand of misanthropy and introversion than any real failing on the part of the members or those who included their stories. Full of sound (if not especially unique) advice for establishing healthy habits. ( )

Not too much in here that can't be learned from the web site, but it is much more pleasant to read out of a book than off of a computer screen. Plus, it's nice to have it all in one place. ( )

Awesome book .... Really got me going on my new life journey.
It broke everything down and really explained that i am not the only one with these problems and the book is written so down to earth.
I learned an extreme amount from this book. And i keep quoting form it to people when talking bout food and weight loss ( )

Hmm, it didn't save. A good read and nice to see how Spark can extend to other aspects of the users life. I've heard a lot about the Spark site from other WW users, but I'm not (yet) ready to make the switch. Good to know more about it for when I possibly do. Interesting to see the creator's motivation in creating it and how he sees it applies ongoing ( )
