I also liked the detailed illustrations. Each picture contained so many intricate factors. For example, on the last page of the book, Molly and her prince stand in the castle courtyard and over look the enchanted forest. The illustrator included tiny details like the carvings in a garden pot.
However, I did not care for the plot of the story. It felt disjointed because Molly was constantly stealing from a giant who really wasn't that mean. Also, she never found her way back home. I felt that the main conflicts of the story were not explained or resolved.
Overall, the big message of this book is that one should value cleverness as a virtue. ( )
