This is the third of Potter's novels I have read, in general I really enjoyed it, there were parts where the story slowed down and I found the book easier to put down but then within a chapter the pace was picked up. The characters were all likeable (who should be likeable) and the plot lines believable although I was really disappointed by some of the choices made by the lead character however the final outcome would not have been as good without this. It was an interesting start, but then it draaaaaaged on... Like most reviewers of this book, I found it slow and only mildly interesting. Enough went on to keep you reading, but at the same time a voice in your head would be chanting, "come on, come on, get a move on..."

I just wanted to get it over and done with. At the start, I was questioning which guy Potter is rooting for in the book - it was a clever move on her part to give a bit of the starting narrative to Sykes, after all, only the main love interest gets a voice.

But once it was clear that Will was Juliet's true Romeo (which happened fairly early in the book), then the rest of the book was pretty much spent waiting for the affair to be found out and the sh%$ to hit the fan. But that just took forever.

The argument/discussion between Will and Juliet at the coffee shop after the affair was discovered was the highlight of the story, but that was pretty much it. The book finishes with a Hollywood ending a couple of chapters later, and you are left wondering what the point of the book is.

Kind of like if I stopped the review here. ( )

Irritating and long-winded. ( )

I like how she wrote it but I don't like the plot. At first it was cute but when the plot thickens, I hate it. I'm just not into unfaithful or cheaters and the "getting used to each other" relationships. Also, it's so long & slow even if you know what's going to happen. ( )

There is nothing original in the plot. All the typical cliches in chicklits are in this book. Also, the author is too contemptuous of all nationalities except British. ( )
