Working Stiffs- John Morressy. Zombies and Vampires and Bears (just kidding) oh my. Its cute. Local manufacturer hires zombies. And than vampires, and than, well, you get the picture. Ending a bit weak.
The Playground Door - Mark W. Tiedemann. Grandpa is bored with life, freezes himself, ends in tragedy! This actual story is one of the best in the collection. We have a son who is upset that his father is going to freeze himself and is too distracted to see how his little boy is doing...
Janell Johnson's First Exhibit - Joyce K. Jenson. Little girl finds information about the upcoming space age...Cute. Doesn't really go anywhere.
Die, Lorelei - Michael Coney. Strange story about the future of genetics, with sea animals turned to land and roving reefs that eat people. It started strong, but was hard to follow. It is one of the better stories in this volume.
Something from the Seventies - Barry N. Malzberg. This one is odd - the new human overloads are questioning a random person about the 70's. Its mostly about trying to understand the past.
Sinner-Saints - Kristine Kathryn Rusch - I'm not a fan of alternative histories - so skipped this one.
One Quiet Day in the Suburbs - Esther M. Friesner. I liked this one - what if the time of Jesus was like a suburb, but with all the badness from the old testement?
Terror's Biggest Fan - Marc Laidlaw. I don't really remember this one, or the point of the story. I get it, a recluse sister taps into something else and writes lyrics for her sister...
BTW - the cartoons are kind of stupid. :) ( )
