A good ending to a good series (a series of books that tie together very closely, so I highly recommend you read them in the order they were written). This book is about all 3 siblings in the St. Clair family, but mainly focuses upon Nic. Nic has had a rough and adventurous life and before he faces his sisters again he wants to make something of himself. He finds himself mining in the Rocky Mountains and showing an interest is a young lady who is a neighbor to him. Nic will finally begin to understand how much God loves him and how long God has been pursuing him. But battles and danger still seem to follow him wherever he goes. I liked the way this story brought somewhat of a conclusion to all three of the siblings in this series. Life is not easy on any of them and danger seems to lurk around every corner. But this is a family who is strong and they don't back down easily. They do have a heart of tenderness and compassion too. This was a series worth reading and will be remembered. Although I found this a very good read, I found I was lacking in the background of many of the characters. With "Claim" being Book #3 in The Homeward Trilogy, I'm sure there's a great deal I've missed. I did enjoy the writing style of the author. She certainly has a way with presenting the story and holding one's attention. I also found the story line to be very interesting and very exciting in places. The characters felt believable and quite real, but I feel I can't do this book justice without reading the first two. I know it has been said by others that this can be read as a stand-alone, but I feel like I've just missed quite a bit and don't quite agree. This is one book that I feel needs the others to really do it justice. I am putting the first two on my 2-purchase list. I really don't want to miss this trilogy - "Claim" certainly has piqued my interest in the whole series. If you would like to read the series in order, Book #1 is "Breathe" and Book #2 is "Sing" (which I would highly recommend doing). Zeige 3 von 3 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
