Jack and his imaginary friend Tashi are learning about ancient Egypt in school. Tashi say that there are tombs in his far-away home country too and tells a story about when an ancient tomb was discovered near his village. In the second story, when Jack is trying to decide what to do his project on ancient Egypt, he tells his parents about the time when the precious Book of Spells from Tashi’s village was stolen. This book is part of a series and if you have not read the first book in the series at least it may be hard to realize that Tashi is actually an imaginary friend and not a real person. Despite not catching on at first, Tashi’s tales about his home were delightful and exciting. The stories are enhanced with clever pencil sketch illustrations. Young independent readers will enjoy Jack and Tashi’s friendship and magical stories and eagerly ask for more. ( ) keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
