Joan Fortune was a successful New York detective when a cruel twist of fate took not only the the life of her husband, but also the life of her unborn child. When she finally comes to terms with it, a beacon of hope in the form of a three-year-old girl enters her life. After being found abandoned in a church, three-year-old Caitlin was brought to Joan's precinct and immediately stole Joan's heart. Six months later, Joan was awarded custody of Caitlin. It was then she started looking for a new job in a less hectic environment in which to raise her daughter. When she found the position of 'Sheriff of Milford' in March of 1997, she immediately knew that she had found the perfect job and quickly accepted.

Milford, Virginia doesn't see much crime. So when Kiersten, a local teenager, goes missing, Joan starts to organize search parties. And when Kiersten is found with a noose around her neck and hanging from a bridge, Joan realizes that they have a cold blooded killer on the loose. But what do you do when the only evidence of a crime is the body itself. No trace evidence, no footprints, nothing. But when a complete stranger calls Joan with intimate knowledge of the crime scene, Joan finally has a lead. And she will follow this lead for as long as it takes. But in the end, she never expected to find a new beginning.

Bunnyman Bridge has been out for a couple of years and is a well written with some unexpected plot twists. It's a well paced, fun read and I would be willing to read more books by this author. I really liked the writing style and found it hard to put down. I will definitely be keeping my eyes open for more books by this author. ( )

This book was very interesting and it kept me in supense up to the last part were the human and the dead helped the town to be rid of a ghost that was caught between the worlds. The book shows the sheriff was aided by her own adopted daughter who was in fact the Granddaughter of the ghost that wanted to journey to join his family. The Lady who was the girl's birth mother is drawn to the town due to her own abilities to talk to the dead and it was saddened to see that when the birth mother and child were finally joined it was only for a brief time as the mother was willing to pay the greatest sacrifice for her daughter. The Birth mother helped the child to release the grandfather's ghost, but in the process one of them would have to make the journey with the grandfather. The birth mother willing gave her life so that her daughter could live, thus the greatest gift a parent can give a child is Life.

This was the best book I've read from Goodreads! The characters are colorful and easy to follow. I thoroughly enjoyed the "horror" aspect of the book and can easily see it becoming a movie! Kudos to author, Ronald J. Van Wynsberg. I hope I can read more from this wonderful author! ( )

Just finished this book and all I can say is that it's one of the best books I have read in a long time. If you like books on murder, mystery or thrillers this is the book for you.
Who's kidnapping and murdering innocent kids? Who's ripping apart rabbits and who is the bunnyman?
You'll have to read Bunnyman Bridge to find. I know you will enjoy this book as much as I did. ( )

Just received this from LibraryThing. This was a pretty quick read, lots of atmosphere and credible characters. It was one of those books that you couldn't be sure of the ending. As another reviewer stated, you can tell the author likes his Koontz and King. Just spooky and creepy enough to keep you on the edge of your seat. Caitlin and her mother Joan are likeable and you are rooting for them thoughout the book. This is a first book by a new author, and I am looking forward to his next work.
