You can't even tell which end is which! There is more to worms than meets the eye. Find out where worms live, how they move, and why gardeners consider them friends in this humorous and informative book. For younger children. I am not at all partial to worms but after reading thiis info-packed picture book, I am ALMOST intrigued enough to poke a shovel around in the wet dirt outside to take a closer look at some of the worm's features as described, and stomp the ground like Grandma does. Worms definitely have a purpose and it's described in a kid-friendly and entertainingly informative way. This was a story of a little boy working in the garden with his grandmother when he starts asking questions about the curious little worms. It's told in a fun way but is very informative. I learned a lot about worms from reading this. It was really cool illustrations and little bonus facts on the pages as well. This was a very interesting book. I knew very little about worms and I was probably peddling some misinformation about them up to now. I didn't know that they had no eyes and five pairs of hearts I remember being told that a worm that was cut in half could survive and believing it. Now I know the truth. Like Nicola Davies, Vivian French writes a great running subtext that informs the reader about worms while simultaneously telling a frienddly narrative. A great read for anyone. Who would want to be friends with a wiggly, slimy worm? You can’t even tell which end is which! But there’s more to these lowly creatures than meets the eye. Kids are invited to find out where worms live, see how they move, and understand why gardeners consider them friends with the help of this humorous and informative look at an unappreciated — and fascinating — creature. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
