Four women meet in an empty conference room. Each is slightly nervous, slightly intrigued and all are armed with steamy fantasies of their own creation. What was once a boring lunchtime literary club is transformed into something else, something forbidden, something that will make them forever friends. "Who knew writing about and reading about dirty sexual peccadilloes could be so cathartic and life-affirming?" --Kirkus Reviews "A clever and bawdy debut with characters that immediately transport the reader onto a sexy rollercoaster ride of fun. A daring novel of shared female fantasies that most women would never reveal in polite, or for that matter, impolite, company. --Suzy Parker, author of Sex in the South "A sexy, raucous adventure about four women discovering the best secrets of friendship, work and love." --Adrian Nicole LeBlanc, authorofRandom Family "This is the debut of an obviously gifted writer whose ear for dialogue and eye for detail (to say nothing of the sensual and sexual sort) put Lisa Beth Kovetz's name on my list of authors to look forward to reading." --Laura Van Wormer, bestselling author of Riverside Drive "An always entertaining account of four strong characters who become friends and, in the end, much more." --Booklist "When Lisa Beth Kovetz wrote The Tuesday Erotica Club she was in an erotic mood. Join the club and have some fun!" --Sidney Sheldon… (mehr)

Cute, fluffy, not life-changing, but hobby-writing affirming. ( )

This is not the kind of book I usually read, but I was intrigued by the title so I decided to give it a go. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Very little time was spent on the actual stories in the writing club. Much more time was devoted to the lives and motivations of these four women. As with real life, each of these women came from different backgrounds and different life experiences, but they managed to bypass these differences and overcome hostilities and prejudices to form the lasting bond that is sisterhood.

I was warned this book might be a little racy and I suppose, if one isn't used to such things that might be true. However, as a person who enjoyed the 'Lucky' books and who counts Earth's Children among her all time favourite literature, I found the 'racy' bits quite tame. I did get a few laughs, though, and that's always a plus in a book. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a light but meaningful read. ( )

I had an advance reader copy of this on my shelf for ages and finally decided to read it. The title is much more titilating than any of the so-called erotica in the book. Really, this is a character-study about four diverse women who connect through a writer's group. The characters are very compelling, but overall, I kind of had to force myself to get through it so I could move on to other books. ( )
