This book is about one of the family members, Dinky, having a wedding and getting married to a girl that he rescued a couple of weeks prior. It talks about the Little's adventures to get ready for the wedding and how they prepare for the wedding.

This early reader chapter book is about a family called the Littles. They are called the Littles because they are tiny, they live in the walls of a families home and has many relatives living near by. One day a cousin of the Littles came to visit his name was Dinky but he wasn't alone he brought fiancé Della. The Little were over joyed when they heard they were getting married and they couldn't wait to be part of the wedding. Tom and Lucy, the main characters in the Little books were excited to be the ring bear and flower girl. The Littles and Dinky went on a hunt to find the perfect wedding location and they found one but the journey to get there was a little tricky. All of the families came together to start traveling to the venue, they traveled in backsets carried by balloons. When they arrived at the venue it was a challenge because they didn't want to get caught by the people living at that house. But they eventually made it to their venue which was a pretty old clock. And Dinky and Della lived happily ever after.
This is a good fantasy early chapter book for kids because it relate an everyday celebration to a tiny family that has to use house old objects to celebrate. It also is a good adventures book because it isn't easy being small and maneuvering about a big house all the time.

4 1/2 - A super quick and enjoyable read. We read 3/4 of it while O was in the bath. It's always fun to see how the Littles maneuver around the Bigg's house and manage to acquire the things they need undetected.

The Littles Have a Wedding
Formal Book Review
By John Peterson
Review by Sarah Tuemmler

I had never pictured a world filled with little humans that are only inches high who can fly until I read the book The Littles Have a Wedding. This is a story of a unique family whose cousin decides to up and leave the family to get married. The book is full of adventure and humor that will keep you wondering what is going to happen next. Sometimes you have to expand your imagination and dive into a world that is not exactly typical.

I loved this book because of the character of Dinky. Dinky is very adventurous, reckless, and jumps on every opportunity. He has his mind made up about the girl he wants to marry even though his family tries to convince him otherwise. He is a unique little because of his sense of adventure. He always tries to do crazy stunts when he flies unlike the rest of the Little family.

Dinky is constantly getting into new adventures including finding a place to get married. He finally found a place and is determined to get married. All of the Littles are so excited to be apart of the wedding and they all begin to busily prepare. The Littles take a flying adventure to the location of Dinky’s wedding and there are many close calls along the way. They run into cats, storms, and many other obstacles that almost make them miss Dinky’s wedding.

The Little Family makes it to the wedding and Dinky and his beloved finance tie the knot in front of all the Littles. It is a happily ever after ending because it is clear that Dinky and Della love each other and will be married for many years to come. This book is very simple in it’s plot line but also has many different character dynamics that make the Little family unique. Each character in the Little family is different yet all of them come together as one family. While the plot is simple, the wide range of character qualities is what makes the book interesting. The character of Dinky does not have a dynamic change except for that he gets married. He stays adventurous and impulsive throughout the entire book.

Overall this book is one that I would recommend to a younger audience. The Littles is a famous series that have many different stories within their family. They undergo many adventures as a family that many children will find fascinating and want to read. It is a story filled with the theme of family unity and the power bond that a family shares. It is interesting for children to read about the different characters of the Littles and how they are different from each other. This book was a fun read and easy to follow. I will most definitely be reading another book from the Little family series. ( )

Review: This is a good example of a fantasy because the author gives the little people with tails human characteristics such as talking, getting married, and flying in planes. The author makes these characters believable.

Setting: the setting was a backdrop setting because although little people with tails don't live in our walls the author describes it to be happening in regular neighborhoods- not somewhere specific.
