Mary Ellis has done it again with this wonderful story of Christmas, love, family, and faith. Sarah travels to Cleveland to find her brother and discover why he left home. Her trip to Cleveland leads her home to Fredericksburg and leads her brother to a Catholic church. Christmas miracles do happen as Ellis proves in this book. Sarah Beachy seems to have it all! As a 19 yr old Amish girl she has a job she loves working in a Bed and Breakfast, she has been dating Adam Troyer, and he would like nothing better than if she would join the church so he can make her his wife. She has never questioned wanting to be Amish, but to settle down and have children is something she can't do until she gets finds some answers to problems that have been bothering her. Her brother Caleb had left the Amish faith several yrs ago, joining a construction crew and leaving for Cleveland and for all intents and purposes never looking back. The question she has is simple enough, what would make someone leave his family and faith, her brother holds the answer, so Sarah takes a trip to Cleveland to get answers, hoping she can at least convince him to come home for Christmas. This is a very short story, unlike most Amish stories I have read it doesn't really center around a romance, even though we are given a glimpse of Sarah and Adam's relationship this story is more about redemption, faith, a mother's love, and a young ladies quest to find answers and hopefully bring her wayward brother home for Christmas. This book is a very quick read and if your a fan of Amish fiction, with a holiday twist then you wont want to miss this book! This book was provided by Readers Favorite for review. Sarah's Christmas Miracle is a sweet, simple story filled with hope, longing and redemption. It's short and easy to read-I read it in one day- and you instantly fall in love with Sarah, who just wants one little Christmas miracle: her now English bruder to return to the Amish. Through God, prayers and unwavering hope, Sarah is determined to have that miracle, so she can have a peace of mind, about her bruder, her parents and her beau. I really loved her character and her perseverance.
Mary Ellis has a 5 star book with this one. Again, I say it's not a big book so it could be easily read most anywhere. If you love Christmas and/or Amish, then you MUST read Sarah's Christmas Miracle. It's a wonderfully written book filled with lessons for everyone, and love for God. ( )
