Fact-filled, but reads like a story.

How often do you find a science book that is charming? This one is, and it's also informative. Perfect for the 5 to 8 year old who is fascinated by seal life. (Also, some lunatics in the US tried to ban it, so show support for accuracy in children's education and don't let the loonies win.) ( )

This book is very informative about Seahorses with lots of interesting facts. One fact that was missing is the size of a mature Barbour’s Sea horse. I looked it up, and found that the males usually grow to an average length of 11–15 centimetres (4.3–5.9 in) where females average at 11–13 centimetres (4.3–5.1 in). ( )

The main idea of this text was to give facts about seahorses. It felt like you were reading a storybook but it was loaded with facts. The book included great visuals and even had an index at the end with key seahorse topics iwith the corresponding page number. ( )

I enjoyed the story and the art work! It was very subtle yet interesting to read. I would recommend it for children around the third grade age group. Education and interesting! ( )
