The club was crowded and noisy, so they huddled close together at the bar flirting; him coming closer to quenching his thirst with each passing moment, and her completely unaware that in a few short minutes she would begin the fight for her life. | |

I looked up to the balcony scanning over each face nearly ready to give up, but then, my eyes found him; he was stunning, probably 6’2 muscular build, Brown hair with slight streaks of blonde; it was straight and a little shaggy. He kinda reminded me of Sawyer from Lost or Keith Urban, but younger and even more handsome, maybe mid twenties I guessed; he was wearing black slacks and a white shirt that was un-tucked and a little wrinkled, and the top button of his shirt was undone. It’s what drew my attention to him in the first place; he looked like he had just rolled out of bed which definitely stood out here. Everyone else had a nearly flawless appearance, but he looked like a beautiful catastrophe! | |

Daniela was blessed with a second chance at life at the loss of her sister. Turning her back on love she has convinced herself that a life of solitude will be her destiny of choice.
Destiny however is calling her bluff and will lead her to an undeniable passion. A passion damned with betrayal, jealousy and yearning.
Wonder is Watson's debut novel in the Thief of Life series. This self published book is a great start to what could possibly be an amazing series. I really feel with a few edits and development this series could be a major competitor in the highly demanded vampire market that includes Twilight and the Vampire Diaries. (
