Mystere was rescued from an orphanage by Paul, who trained her to be an exceptional thief. Graduating from pickpocketing, to highway robbery, she is now playing a debutante and, as Lady Moonlight, relieving the ballroom matrons of their jewels. She even steals the stickpin from Rafe's cravat as he's waltzing with her. Somehow he figures out she's the thief that robbed him on the highway, and Lady Moonlight. He brings her back to his mansion to humiliate her, which he does, but then is caught compromising her - and forced to marry. Only it turns to a marriage of love for both. Best-selling author Meagan McKinney brings Victorian era New York alive in this sensuous tale of secret identities. Rafe Belloch, a powerful railroad baron, is accustomed to being in control. When a masked young woman steals his valuables and leaves him naked in the street, he vows to find her and get even. Two years later he meets demure debutante Mystere Rillieux, a woman unlike any he has ever met. But something about her is hauntingly familiar. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |
