The Editors of Country Living

Most of these rooms rely on collections of unique objects or fortuitous finds secured after numerous weekends spent on treasure hunts and subsequent skilled bargaining. There were features and items I'd love to have in my home, but after hundreds of hours spent at flea markets, estate sales, Goodwill, Habitat Restore, antique malls and craft fairs, I've rarely located anything quite as striking as the "signature items" showcased here. More frustrating than inspirational.

Lots of attractive and realistic decorating and craft ideas and visual inspiration. Includes a variety of styles, from modern and Nordic to rustic and Victorian. I keep borrowing this book almost every December from my local library, and always find it an inspiration.

I loved this book, the photos are so inspirational and beautiful. Some of the ideas aren’t that practical (who has an old hotel key store at home??) but just looking at the photos makes me festive. Plus some of the crafts are simple but really gorgeous.
