How to remove a picture of the member gallery

I am not sure how this happened but I have photo of a book added by a member that appears to be spam. I've never even heard of the book nor is it something I've read.

Is it possible to remove this picture? I don't see anywhere to make edits. Not sure if this a bug.

The picture when clicked links to lizfelifestyle profile with none of the usual edit options.

That is weird. When I click on a picture in my gallery, there are edit and delete buttons under them, but these are pictures I uploaded. I'm not sure how a "Picture uploaded by lizfelifestyle on Sep 30, 2022." could have ended up in your gellery.

If you can't delete it you should post in Bug Collectots.

Very weird, definitely a bug. Regardless of the fact that you can't delete it, how did someone else add a photo to your gallery???

BTW, The person who uploaded the picture is the author of the book. The picture is not in her gallery

I presume the upload must have been to the other user's own gallery, and somehow the reference has got mixed up behind the scenes making it show up in your gallery, but with no power to edit and delete so the site has at least correctly identified it isn't actually your image (and therefore hopefully no deletions of other people's images will occur if this issue exists more widespread across the site). Edit: hopefully staff can dig into the code and see what's going on, but yes I'd second/third the recommendation of making a bug report: https://www.librarything.com/ngroups/897/Bug-Collectors Edit2: to improve wording a bit.

>2 MarthaJeanne: and >3 norabelle414: Thanks for the information, this was so weird I wasn't entirely sure if this was a bug or something I allowed. I will file a bug report to se what comes of it.

Yes. That’s very buggy!

Yeah, this is a bug. There's no malice or mischief. An ID of one type got used as if it were an ID of another type. I'll dig into it later tonight.

Yeah. What's happening is that new Early Reviewer covers are sometimes being added in a way that puts them in the galleries of users with the ID of the corresponding Early Reviewer profile. Nothing is being deleted or changed, and none of these images are private, but images of type A are being shown in contexts where only type B should show.

This is an important problem, but I need Lucy's help on it--she designed the new Early Reviewers system. We'll fix it tomorrow.
