wrong data uploaded after barcode scanning

wrong authors or no authors, just happened several times after scanning books with my (android) phone. 4 mistakes out of less than 20 books. I am not impressed. if manual review/correction is needed, that defeats the purpose of scanning, doesn't it.
anybody else run into this?

Can you please give more details?

What source did you use?
At least one example book that scanned wrong?

It's possible if you used Amazon as a source, it's the source's fault.

Using Amazon for older books is asking for bad data.

Yes, you are using Amazon if you haven't set otherwise, and that is part of Amazon's terms for having them available. Amazon is very useful for the newest books. Try using OverCat as your source. That is a set of library data.

But even with library data, you need to check entries, chose the right cover (again avoid Amazon covers as they can change or disappear without warning.), add tags.

Thank you - I am new here (since today), so i was trying a few just to see. one of the "wrongly" uploaded books is "No Man's Land (John Puller series) by George Rainey (Author)" - wrong author (should be Baldacci) and some other wrong data.
i've set to OverCat now and will try again later.
Thanks again!!

No Man's Land

You will need to change the author, but your entry ended up in the right work.
