This book is a quick, rather fun read laced with some regional color and history and a few chills. Most of the stories aren't particularly scary, though a few were a bit creepy. It's not particularly well-written. This book is formatted a bit more stylishly than earlier books by Mr. Adams, but the quality of the editing hasn't improved; there are still quite a few grammatical & word usage errors which beg for a good copy editor. The book does include photos of many locations, which I did enjoy. Having spent time at the Jersey Shore in my youth added to my enjoyment of the book.½
