Rezensionen

To California Sam, con artist extraordinaire, making a pitch and pulling in the sucker's money is a very satisfying way of life. But suddenly, with the explosive violence of a prairie fire, Sam's carefree world begins to shatter. One of his customers is very dissatisfied indeed - in fact, the man's determined that nothing less than Sam's death offers sufficient revenge.
En av flera kvalitetsvästerns som Wennerbergs gav ut.

Classic pulp fiction from the late 1950s, recommended for 87th Precinct series readers. Roy breaks out of prison, full of self-belief and confidence that a jailbird friend will help him disappear. He succeeds, but finds someone else waiting for him, who expects to be paid in kind. Roy is a stone cold killer, but is smart and determined, parlaying his freedom into riches and a beautiful woman. But, can he succeed? Well worth 99 cents from Amazon.

Whom Gods Destroy is juicy pulp noir goodness. Published in 1953, banned in South Africa on moral grounds (don't, too easy), it's about a hash cook from the wrong side of town who returns to the town of his yute and the society girl he loved but who scorned him. He falls in with the local bootleggers, wants a bigger share than he's offered, hilarity ensues.

Amazon's released lots of these classic pulp books, costing between 99 cents and three dollars. Great stuff. Gods was 99 freakin' cents.… (mehr)

A noir western from the '50s. No romantic, glamorous West here. Through a series of bad breaks a young rancher’s son, Tall Cameron, is drawn deeper and deeper into the lonely, violent life of a gunfighter and killer. Can he break away before it is too late to regain his life and the girl who has said she would wait for him? Good characterization.
